Ames Iowa Self Love Session

Gahhhh Victoria girl! Yes this girl’s story is one from a dream. She quite literally was strolling downtown Ames, IA and scanned the QR code I have stuck to the window at my studio. Come to find out, Victoria was getting married in a week and a half! She wanted some beautiful, sexy photos of herself to gift her man. Who wouldn’t?! So when she inquired I was like “oh my goodness, how am I going to pull this off for her?!” I called her instantly and said that I wouldn’t be able to get her one of my albums to her in time for the wedding but that I had another idea. I said “what if we do a polaroid shoot of you so that you have instant product that looks rad af!?” So that’s exactly what we did. I would photograph her with my mini instax + with my camera so that I could still edit and deliver a gallery to her but these polaroids were so fun, nostalgic and tangent. 

If you have been wondering what my self love sessions are, let me explain. I moved away from the “boudoir” term because it didn’t fit the vision I had for my clients. I wanted less focus on “becoming” sexy and more focus on realizing you have that magic already! You don’t need crazy lingerie (unless you want it) because you are a bombshell when you’re wearing a t-shirt and messy bun too! I want my clients to see THEMSELVES and not a version we created. Enter-self love sessions. Loving you right where you are today because you freaking deserve it!

When you book a self love session, you get access to either my Ames photography studio or a location outdoors in the area. You get to decide the vibe that fits you the most. We will work together to dream up your session and I will walk you through the whole process from location to styling and more. You won’t have to feel weird or awkward because by the time we get to the session, we will basically be friends! It makes things so much more relaxed and fun that way.
